Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website. Use of the “Zebra AI” software itself is covered by a separate privacy policy, which customers receive when the contract is concluded.

2. The essentials first: no cookies, no tracking

This website uses no cookies, no third-party tracking services and embeds no third-party content (e.g. external fonts, videos, maps or social media plugins). All of the website's resources are served from our own server. For audience measurement we analyse only anonymised server log files on our own server (see section 3); IP addresses are truncated before they are stored. No profiling, no cross-device tracking and no automated decision-making take place.

3. Hosting and server log files

When this website is accessed, the web server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser. These are in particular:

  1. the IP address of the requesting device — it is anonymised before being stored (the final octet is truncated for IPv4, the trailing digits for IPv6), so that no complete IP address is stored;
  2. the date and time of access;
  3. the page or file requested and the volume of data transferred;
  4. the browser type and version and the operating system (user agent);
  5. the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted by the browser.

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably and in detecting and averting attacks. The log data is not merged with other data sources, is rotated daily and is deleted automatically after 15 days at the latest, unless a specific incident requires it to be retained for longer.

On the basis of these already anonymised log files we compile aggregated audience statistics (e.g. the number of page views, the pages requested, referral sources and the browsers and operating systems used) using GoAccess, open-source software that we operate ourselves. The analysis runs exclusively on our own server — without cookies, without JavaScript in the browser and without involving any third party. It does not allow us to identify individuals, because the IP addresses are already truncated. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in designing and optimising our offering in line with actual demand.

The website is hosted by: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Where required, a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

The website is transmitted in encrypted form via TLS (https).

4. Contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail (e.g. via the “Book a demo” link) or by telephone, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of your enquiry) in order to handle and answer your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is directed at concluding or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required to handle the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations (in particular Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO) prevent deletion.

5. Disclosure of data

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties, with the exception of the hosting provider named in section 3 acting as a processor, or where we are legally obliged to disclose it. No transfer to third countries outside the EU/EEA takes place.

6. Your rights

With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:

  1. access (Art. 15 GDPR);
  2. rectification (Art. 16 GDPR);
  3. erasure (Art. 17 GDPR);
  4. restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  5. data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
  6. objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@zebra-ai.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz.

7. Changes to this privacy policy

We will amend this privacy policy if the data processing on this website or the applicable legal framework changes. The version published here at any given time applies.
